Edwards Coaches Cardiff Shop Surpasses £1 million Sales

Edwards Coaches, a family run business now in their 5th generation of ownership and proud 91 year history, have enjoyed a brilliant start to 2016. With over 80,000 holiday passengers travelling annually, transporting 7,149 students daily and covering a staggering 11 million miles per year, Edwards Coaches continues to grow year on year, evidenced in the development of shops across South Wales.

In a day when most businesses are pulling out of the high street, Edwards Coaches did exactly the opposite. They opened their flagship store in St. Mary Street in the heart of Cardiff city centre, and within the first month of trading Edwards Holidays, the Cardiff based shop broke all records and subsequently achieved its first £1 Million of sales.

Edwards Coaches to Feature in Wynne Ar Waith S4C

Everybody knows that Wales is famous for singing – but not everyone has the ability to sing well. Wynne Evans set himself a mission to find some of the best hidden talents at three of Wales’ largest companies – Welsh Water, Arriva Trains Wales and of course Edwards Coaches.

Travelling across the country, auditions were held across the 3 companies to recruit singers for his new choir, before coming together for master classes where they learnt 3 songs for special and secret challenges. During his time at each company, Wynne rolled up his sleeves and gained an in depth work experience within each workforce, even stretching to driving a touring Edwards coach.

To crown it all, the choir went on to record a charity song called ‘Can heb ei Chanu’. The song, composed by Hywel Gwynfryn and Robat Arwyn was written specifically for the purpose of raising money for Tenovus Cancer care charity and can be downloaded now through iTunes, Google Play and Amazon.
