For the shoppers, we have heard your calls for more shops, with the newly developed "Bullring" in Birmingham, Bath, Bicester, Cheltenham & Gloucester available as a choice, as well as Bristol & Cribbs Causeway.

For the Animal lovers, we have Folly Farm, Bristol Zoo, Longleat & West Midlands safari park.

And for the horticulturists, we have not forsaken you either. For you, we have the "Shrewsbury Flower Show" in August. Make sure you book early as last year we sold out!!

We have been fortunate enough to get hold of a limited number of tickets for the phenomenon of the decade, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. We have only 2 dates available for this smashing musical on Saturday 16th August and Saturday 23rd August.

Again, tickets and space are limited, so book your seat early to guarantee you place.

We are extremely pleased to announce the new arrival of 1 of 2 brand new Setra tri-axles for our 2008/09 season. The second is due on May 1st and will be a welcome addition to our highest spec fleet of tour coaches.

We recently took delivery of 2 new Volvo Plaxtons, one of which will have the new front door access for disabled users.

All vehicles are of our usual high standard, fitted with Air-conditioning & PA system and our Setras also benefit from on board facilities that you, our clients have become accustomed with.

Historical

Last year, Edwards Coaches invested just under £1 million on three brand new executive Setra Tri Axle Coaches, and the investment has been well worth it to secure 4 awards within two days of receiving the brand new coach from manufacturers, Setra. Each of the coach is 13 metres in length, 1 metre longer than the standard executive coach, however they are still fitted with only 49 seats, allowing extra legroom for passengers to travel in comfort. Each coach is fitted with WC, hot and cold drinks facilities, reclining seats, first class padded seating, seatbelts, DVD/Audio systems, chrome alloy wheels, tinted windows, air conditioning and on board vacuum cleaner.

Again, this year, with the addition of a further 2 Setras, we are hoping to have retain our standard.
 

From strength to strength

The business has gone from strength to strength, and has grown enormously over the 82 years that it has been operating. Edwards now employ over 150 staff from the local RCT area, each year they transport over 5,000 school children to and from school each day, and take over 50,000 passengers away on holidays each year. Ecole, the School tours department which was established in 2005 has already taken over 40 different schools from across South Wales on educational tours throughout Europe and skiing tours in Austria. Ecole is also the official operator of the Disneyland Resort Paris St David's Day Welsh Festival 2008, following the success of the 2007 festival for which 500 school children from across South Wales travelled with Ecole. Edwards is still the largest privately owned coach company in Wales, and is still run by the Edwards family.

After a few weeks of upgrading, that took a lot longer than we expected, our booking portal is now back to its former glory.

We have just invested a great deal in a complete revamp of our computers at our main office to speed up the booking process for those of you who would still like to come down and see us.

Edwards Coaches have scooped four awards at the 53^rd UK Coach Rally held in Brighton. The family run company, which has been operating for over 80 years picked up awards for UK Coach of the Year, Welsh Coach of the Year, Setra Trophy for best Setra and Peter Rogers Memorial Trophy for being highest placed CPT member in all categories.
 

The Llantwit Fardre based business, which operates a fleet of over 100 coaches for holidays, school transport, school tours and private hire, entered one of their brand new triple axle Setra coaches, and came top in all of the coach award categories which secured them the prestigious Peter Rogers Memorial Trophy. Edwards is also the first Welsh Company to win the UK Coach of the year title, a fantastic achievement for a company which started out with one coach back in 1925!

The Brighton Coach Rally has been running for 53 years, and each year gathers entrants from all over the UK, battling it out to win the esteemed Coach of the Year trophy amongst other awards.

Jason Edwards, Company Director attended the event with two of the companies top drivers, Paul Corbett and Glyn Bowden. Speaking of the companies success Jason stated 'We pride ourselves in the quality that we can offer to our customers, and these awards affirm we are committed to providing a quality service to our valued customers.
